The Meaning Behind ‘AONYXX’

Why the name, ‘AONYXX’? Simply put, ‘AONYXX’ is a portmanteau. It is a blend of “A” the Greek alpha, “O” the Greek omega: The first and last letter of the Greek Alphabet. The goddess Nyx, a primordial goddess who embodies the night and is a creature of immense power and mystery, originating from Chaos. The goddess Nyx and her consort Erebus hatched a primordial cosmic egg from which the world emerged. And finally, the “X”, for solving the unkown.

Aonyxx was “birthed” from an attempt at finding a naming convention that conveyed the process of manufacturing our TMS (Thermal Material Specification) with all the various applications, markets and products our TMS series of Thermal Interface Materials can be applied to.
